Melissa Day Cream calms while helping skin discover its natural balance. The melissa (lemon balm) plant has a centred structure that guides the skin to a balanced state. Oily shine is controlled and dry patches are hydrated for a calm, radiant complexion. Melissa Day Cream is the ideal skin care product for sensitive combination skin with a tendency toward dryness, shine and redness.

Formulation: Extracts of melissa, daisy, anthyllis, witch hazel and carrot soothe and balance. Tapioca starch provides an even, matte appearance.

Each morning after cleansing and toning, apply evenly to face and neck, including décolleté, if desired. This day cream absorbs quickly and makes an ideal base for make-up. 

For advanced care, Renewing Night Conditioner or Sensitive Care Conditioner may be used for a 28-day period several times a year.

Lovely and smooth

Really smooth cream. Felt nice on the skin. Not enough in the sample to really see what it would be like long term. Skin felt nice after use but I would have liked to see what it would do to my skin over a 2 week period rather than 4 days.

Amazing for dull skin

After using it, my skin became softer, smoother, more glowing, and healthier. I didn't expect how well it works for my mature, sensitive skin without clogging my pores, causing heaviness, or causing allergies. I could say that this product has very powerful ingredients which works so well.

Love the smell, love how it feels

Very nice product, it has lovely scent and I really love how it makes my skin feels though I would like it to me smoother, almost like very whipped feeling and also a bit more oil controlled as I have combination skin with some oily area on my face. And they seems to have less coverage after few hours of application. But all in all, this is a very good cream but it was just my personal preference.

Lovely light cream

To be honest the sample was so small it would be difficult to assess how effective it is.
It did feel lovely when applied. It was light, non greasy and it had a good finish. My make up went on well over the top and there was no pilling. It would be difficult to say whether I would replace my current day cream with this based on this very small sample.

First time trying this product and I was very pleased with it. It feels quite heavy and dry going on but it absorbed into my skin quickly and left my face feeling lovely and smooth. Powerful tool

Very nice, made my skin soft and glowing. Smooths and easy to apply. Quickly absorbs to your skin. The scent is delicate and gives me a vide of hight class spa. Very happy with this product. Well worth the money and I have used this product for a while now and will continue to do so.

The 1.5ml sachet I was sent to try lasted me about 2 uses with the first use I was able to generously apply. Doesn't have much of a fragrance to it, jus a bit of a odd smell. I didn't react to it as sometimes my skin is spot prone. It wasn't greasy either but I can't say that it left my skin feeling noticeably smooth.

Gorgeous

This cream is a delight! The sent is heavenly, lemony and fresh. The cream has a nice consistency, glides easily onto the skin and absorbs. No stickiness that you get with some creams. It’s definitely improved the texture of my skin :) I would definitely recommend this cream. A little bit of luxury!

Smelled lovely, not a lot of skin benefits

I absolutely LOVED the smell of the Melissa day cream. The texture was good. It was very hard to rub in and clumped the more I rubbed it in. Would not sit well under makeup or SPF so not ideal for my routine at all. Not a lot of good ingredients in the cream for my skin when I checked the ingredients list.

Lingering Residue

I got a sample sachet of this face cream that I was able to use twice, so take my review with that in mind. The cream smells amazing—reminds me of Neal’s Yard products. Absolutely lush smell.
However, that’s where the pros end. The cream does not feel thick, and at first contact, it seems fluid enough. But it took ages to be absorbed by my skin, and even after thoroughly working the product in, I still had some white residue in the texture of my skin. After an hour, it was still there, clinging to the surface.

Soft skin

This moisturiser my skin feel very soft. It was not a thick cream which meant it was most suitable for my skin type. This moisturiser is good for a day cream, but I would suggest wearing on it's own for a natural look. However if using foundation, I found this did not combine well under my make up, my make up became quite textured. I also love the scent used in the cream, it left me feeling very fresh.

Happy teen cream!

We bought this for my daughter after trying so many 'combination' creams for teenage skin prone to breakouts. She has been using it for 6 months plus, just started on her third tube, and it has clearly made a difference. Her skin is clearer and brighter, the breakouts feel more controlled and appear far less aggressive. As with everything from Hauschka the scent is lovely and fresh.

A good cream for the summer

I am a devotee of the quince cream but find it a bit too heavy in the height of summer, when it gets really hot. This is a good summer choice. It is very light but still nicely moisturising on my older skin (I am 69).
I also like the scent, which is very agreeable, lemony and light

Smells devine

It has an amazing smell, not too strong, feels very “natural”

Superb cream!

Worth a try

Moisturiser is absorbed easily without leaving an oily residue.
My skin feels smooth after using it for a few days.
It has a strong, slightly chemically , citrusy smell.

Lovely Day Cream

This is a lovely day cream which absorbed well into my oily/combination mature skin leaving it feeling soft and supple. It played well with my other skincare and it sat well under makeup. It has a slight fresh, clean fragrance which I liked as my skin is fine with fragrance.

Perfect skin

Super soft skin

This cream was so hydrating. It's felt lovely on my skin, made it feel soft plus gave a glow to. It didn't feel sticky or greasy and absorbs really well to. Easy to massage into my skin.

Very small sample I trialed and I have to say it was extremely tacky on my face and I didn’t like the smell because it smelt of my bathroom cleaner
Overall the sample was only one application so I couldn’t say if it does anything positive for my skin

Well worth it

Main thing it is made from natural ingredients. I found it had a lovely scent and make my face feel fresh. It is not oily so absorbs easily.

Moisturising but I like something a bit richer in texture

Nice as a day cream if you use make-up, such as foundation. But as a non make-up wearer (apart from lipstick), I prefer a cream that's a bit richer in texture.

Great day cream!

I liked the texture of the day cream. It was smooth and silky and melted into my skin.
I only used a little bit so it went a long way. I’ve got oily skin but this didn’t make me feel as if I’d overloaded my skin.

Perfect cream for my 76 year old complexion

For years I have used Quince Day Cream, but recently switched to Melissa, with terrific results. It adds something - a smoothness and clarity to my skin - the best I've ever used.

Really happy!

This was one of the first purchases I made from Dr Hauschka and I wasn’t disappointed! My skin is combination, I suffer from breakouts round my forehead, and oily T-Zone but red, dry cheeks. The free cleansing cream that comes with this day cream is fabulous, I use it morning and night, my skin feels so fresh and soft afterwards. I love that it’s cleansing in a really gentle way.
The day cream is really lovely, it glides onto my skin and absorbs really quickly which I like. My skin feels lovely and soft all day and I don’t have that horrible oily shine on my T-Zone I used to get by the end of the day. The smell of the day cream is my favourite, reminds me of a spa! I mix the soothing mask with the day cream when I’m having a particularly red day but that’s happening less and less since I started using these products.

Best transitional cream.

I use this cream when my dry winter cream is no longer needed and we move into Spring/ Summer and I need a lighter consistency. It deals with my oily T zone and drier sides of my face. A good all rounder.

Love this stuff

My favourite day-to-day face cream EVER. You really notice a difference after using it... even only a few days. It is a nice consistency, the tube lasts a while and you don't even know you have it on. I put make up straight on top.

Best moisturiser I’ve ever used!

As in the title it really is the best product I’ve ever used. My skin is problematic prone to breakouts and this moisturiser is not heavy nor too light, I feel my skin balance after using it.

Great every day product

I’ve been using this for months and it’s great for combination skin. It has a matte effect that gets rid of of shining T bar on your face. No more checking for shining patches on my face. Highly recommend.

Made my combination skin more oily sadly

Admittedly I have hormonally changing skin, however this cream I think will be better for me to use in the Autumn/Winter as it seems too heavy and makes my combination skin more oily. That said, it is a good moisturiser. For the Spring/Summer I am now using the Revitalising moisturiser with a couple of drops of the clarifying day oil. Perfect. Thank you for that website tip Dr Hauschka.
