Cellulite

80 to 90 per cent of women are only too familiar with the unsightly appearance of cellulite, which develops as fat cells swell and push through the elastic connective tissues in the skin, causing the 'orange peel' effect on the skin's surface. Women are more prone to this condition due to the underlying structure of their skin and fat cell alignment. Cellulite can only be combated with a comprehensive treatment plan, starting by stimulating the circulation in the affected areas.

To address cellulite, we suggest the following daily Dr.Hauschka treatment plan:

Step 1 - detoxify the body

The adoption of a healthy diet and lifestyle is important in improving cellulite. This means good nutrition, reduced salt intake, sufficient water intake, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, no smoking and adequate relaxation.

Step 2 - where cellulite is wide spread and of long duration

Apply Birch Arnica Body Oil daily to stimulate the circulatory systems to eliminate wastes and toxins.

Step 3 - healthy regime continues and there is an improvement in the circulatory and eliminatory processes

Apply Lemon Lemongrass Body Oil where cellulite is evident. Lemon has firming powers that help tone. Elasticity can diminish with age, contributing to the appearance of cellulite. Blackthorn Body Oil strengthens elasticity, helping to counter that trend. Use Lemon Bath and Blackthorn Body Wash for on-going care and maintenance.

Sluggish Circulation can be helped by adding Rosemary Bath to bath water in the morning to warm, refresh and revitalise the body. In the shower, apply a drop of Rosemary Bath to a wet washcloth and gently massage into hips and thighs to invigorate more sluggish tissues.

After showering or bathing follow up with Rosemary Leg & Arm Toner to warm, stimulate and revitalise cellulite-prone zones or try mixing it in with Lemon Body Moisturiser.

Apply the body oils to damp skin after a shower or bath. We recommend that you use circular movements working along the thigh, working on the inside, outside and back of the leg. Another massage move is to knead the skin. This encourages your circulatory system to eliminate wastes and toxins.
