Green Beauty Bible Awards
Internationally-renowned beauty journalists Jo Fairley and Sarah Stacey began their search to find the UK's all-time natural beauty products in 2008, asking over 1,050 British women to try, and then vote for their favourites, from over 120 green, natural and organic brands across 43 different categories!
When we opened our copy of the book we were overwhelmed to receive commendations for 14 Dr.Hauschka products, with our products taking the top-spot in 4 categories. The tester comments simply bowled us over! And the organic cherry on top of the cake: our make-up range took pride of place against the competition, bringing home more awards than any other colour cosmetics brands tested.

Cleansing Milk: "silky lotion was easily applied and melted off make-up, leaving parched winter skin hydrated, fresh and comfortable . cleansed effectively - gentle but thorough; left skin very moisturised . delicious product, more like a treatment than a cleanser"
Soothing Mask: "feels luxurious: brightens skin; made me very relaxed . I adored this mask; my skin was calmer and generally pampered . areas of dryness relieved and skin felt smooth and 'glowed' . used weekly, it reduced flare-ups or redness and dry skin"
Rejuvenating Mask: "skin soft and refreshed, plus smaller pores . skin texture more refined and nourished . my sensitive skin reacts to most things, but this was wonderful"
Translucent Make-up: "blended effortlessly and gave fantastic coverage for such a light formulation . beautiful, sheer, non-powdery finish that matched my English rose skin tone perfectly and lasted all day . blended well with fingers or a foundation brush, smelt like roses - evened my skin tone but didn't look cakey, covered small red veins and spots, evened out pores . mattifying effect"
Pure Care Cover Stick: "made veins look less visible . smooth but thick, so could apply directly to spots . covers spots really well . did help dry up spots . blended well and disguised most imperfections . shiny initially but looked good under foundation"
Translucent Face Powder Compact: "fabulously fine, divine-smelling powder that gives a lovely softness to my skin . great finish, natural, totally matt: even skin tone . gave my combination skin a long-lasting finish . set my make-up to perfection"
Bronzing Powder: "the best bronzing powder ever - glided on and looked totally natural; gave skin a luminescent glow . worked beautifully with mascara and lip gloss . lovely, fine, silky powder; didn't rub off on to clothes"
Volume Mascara: "looked glossy and lustrous, lashes longer and curlier but very natural . didn't volumise as much as I'd expected, but was very good: easy to remove and doesn't irritate my eyes . my lashes looked a bit longer, thicker and curlier"
Mascara: "no clumping whatsoever - unbelievable! Extremely natural finish, with one coat - just looked like naturally dark lashes; fabulous wand . glossy finish; perfect everyday mascara . made my lashes look darker and thicker . excellent wand - the best I've come across; mascara went right to base of lashes, and was easy to get at inside and outside corners too"
Novum Lipliner: "very easy to apply with no dragging, and gave a precise lip outline; liked this as a lipstick colour on its own and it also helped keep my lipstick on longer when I used it as a base . easy to apply after "blunting" as instructed; gave a definite line that stopped the "bleeding" effect of my (older) lips; works really well as a lipstick alone - stays on for hours - though you really need a gloss over the top to moisturise . went on very smoothly, probably down to the rose wax, easy to guide - though I am hopeless with lipliner . it worked really well as a base coat to keep my lipstick on all day - even when my lipstick had gone, the liner was still there"
Eye Solace: "rested my eyes and took away the strained feeling at the end of the day . very cooling and refreshing: red tired eyes much clearer . excellent before and after a big night out . great for a pampering lazy day . eyes felt alive again"
Deodorant Fresh: "by far the best natural deo I have found . I ride a motorbike and go to the gym, but this kept me dry, with no hint of a smell . no white powder or stickiness, and very pleasant smell; felt fresh and dry all day and evening . didn't sting after shaving . keeps you dry in all conditions . I used this straight after waxing and felt no pain"
Neem Nail Oil: "nails stronger and more flexible; the thumb nail no longer splits - evidence it must have really strengthened that one . improved very dry cuticles, nails look much better too; I really liked this product once I found you only needed a couple of drops for both hands . nails less broken and ragged, looked shiny and were easy to push back - I used it on my toenails too . liked the fresh smell, and parched cuticles looked better almost immediately"
Rosemary Bath: "I was tired, but felt invigorated, energised and my mood was enhanced . skin beautifully soft and supple . I bought three for presents . my husband said 'what a beautiful smell' and now uses it himself . very calming . like a full body treatment"
