Instructions for use

  • Use twice a day, in the morning and at night.
  • Fill your basin with warm water and add a few drops of Lavender Bath. Moisten and warm your skin by holding the damp, loosely wrung out warm muslin compress to your face.
  • Squeeze 0.5 inch of Cleansing Cream into wet hands, mix with warm water and spread between wet hands to create a creamy emulsion.
  • Begin to work the Cleansing Cream into the face with a rolling pressing movement of palms and fingers. Work from the centre to the outside to stimulate the lymphatic flow. Keep the emulsion wet, DO NOT RUB AND SCRUB.
  • The length of time required to work Cleansing Cream into the skin for an oily impure condition is 3 - 5 minutes. Remember to keep the emulsion wet.
  • Rinse thoroughly with warm water and follow with a cool splash or compress. This causes the arrector pili muscle at the base of the hair follicle to contract, loosening any impurities that has accumulated deep in the pore.
  • Mist face and neck liberally with Clarifying Toner and gently press into the skin, morning and evening after cleansing.
  • Apply a small amount morning and evening after cleansing and toning.
  • The Facial Steam bath can be used once a week to open the pores before a deep cleanse with the Clay Mask.
  • Fill a bowl with half a litre of boiling water and add two tablespoons of Facial Steam Bath. Lean over the bowl and inhale deeply for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Mix the clay mask with two teaspoons of warm water and apply after the facial steam treatment.
  • Facial Steam Bath and Cleansing Clay Mask work together as an effective program for oily skin. Applied once or twice a week the support the skin in finding its own natural balance.
  • As an intensive treatment the Rejuvenating Mask can be applied sparingly after a deep cleanse, leave on for 20 - 30 minutes, compress gently away with a tepid moist cloth.
  • Cleansing Cream has grains of nut in it but it is NOT an exfoliant, and you must not scrub with the product. Scrubbing only tears off skin cells that may not be ready to come off.
  • Dr.Hauschka has a homoeopathic approach to skin care, "like cures like". By applying an oil to an oily skin the skin slows down its own production, which in turn works to reduce the formation of blackheads and inflammation.
  • Clarifying Toner should only be used on oily skin. Once it helps to normalise the oily condition, you should then be able to change to using Facial Toner
  • We recommend muslins for cleansing your face. Using a loosely wrung out warm muslin compress relaxes the skin and softens the walls of the pores allowing deep cleansing to be achieved. The skin's own functions are also stimulated. A cool muslin compress applied to the skin after cleansing closes the pores, expelling any remaining impurities, leaving you with a clearer complexion. By using a clean muslin every time you wash your face, you will prevent cross-infection occurring. The muslins can be washed in a hot wash to kill bacteria
