Dr.Hauschka uses gentle surfactants; these are cleansers that allow water and oil to mix, thus emulsifying and removing dirt. Many surfactants are effective cleansers, but they irritate the skin. Made with harsh manufacturing methods they are toxic and non-renewable materials. The surfactants used in the Dr.Hauschka Body Washes are manufactured using simple procedures with plant-derived, biodegradable materials. The result is a light, creamy lather that washes away dirt and oils without irritating even the most sensitive skin.
