"SAVING THE BEST FOR NOW", Sali Hughes' thought-provoking article in December's Red magazine reminds us that every day is indeed a special occasion, and what better way to celebrate than to feel our very best and to allow ourselves a little pleasure. Why deny yourself the best when you deserve only the best? Sali says, "Life's too short for unworn shoes, so start treating yourself today."
What got Sali thinking was an essay written by her idol, the American Filmmaker, Nora Ephron who, on writing about the loss of her best friend to cancer, summed it up: "It taught me to always use the good bath oil. Life is simply too short, and too uncertain, to deny ourselves its little pleasures."
We know too that the special Bath Oil in Nora's life happens to be Dr.Hauschka Lemon Bath and she only uses it lavishly these days. She says, "If the events of the last few years have taught me anything, it's that I'm going to feel like an idiot if I die tomorrow and I skimped on bath oil today..." How right she is...
